The Hour of Code begins next week!! The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities. There are several new resources within the https://code.org website and your account is already setup within APS MyBackpack! Register your class for a chance to win Coding Robots and other resources!!

MORE GRANT OPPORTUNITIES!!!! With the first half of the new school year coming to an end, The Beacon, a technology blog, understands that there may be many supplies still needed in the classroom. That’s why they are giving teachers the chance to earn up to $1,000 for purchasing classroom supplies or technology for their classroom. In order for teachers to be eligible to win, they need to submit a tech-focused lesson plan no later than 11:59 PM ET on December 9, 2017 and follow all the guidelines.
