This is another “Special Edition" of the Fabulous Friday Technology Tip (F2 T2). This edition shares free resources from the Timesaver for Teachers website.
CLASSROOM TIMERS Manage your time in class effectively by using one of these popular timers:

Virtual Stopwatch & Virtual Timer found at www.timeme.com and

Free Stopwatch & Countdown Timer at http://www.xnotestopwatch.com/

"Teachit" Timer, a free downloadable classroom timer can be used on screen or projected, and it has been especially created to manage timed activities during a lesson. You can say to your class: "I am giving you seven minutes for this activity!" The clock and timer display will show how much time has been used, how much time is left, and, if you want it to, even sound a warning when there are only several seconds remaining. You can even choose your final alert sound - a whistle, gong, dog barking ... and more ... To download one for yourself, please click here:

To check it out and see if it may be appropriate for your classroom, please click on the following link: www.feedthepig.org/tweens    This has been a very popular download so I would not be surprised if the offer is no longer available.
