Congratulations!! The Final Friday in October 2017 is here!
Good morning!
This is the “13th edition" of the Fabulous Friday Technology Tip (F2 T2) that shares technology tools and resources that can be integrated into your daily lessons, unit plans and classroom centers.
Have you utilized the passages & questions in the website ReadWorks? Did you know that there are science & social studies passages within the website? Please check out the awesome science & social studies passages that are available for free in https://www.readworks.org/ Don’t forget! Your students have access to the awesome Google Chrome extension called Kami. This extension allows them to annotate on PDFs from ReadWorks or other websites that you assign. (It also works seamlessly with Google Classroom assignments.)
REPEAT PERFORMER!!!! Front Row has released some phenomenal lessons for kindergarten students. They have also added Design Challenges to the Science Units and additional passages within the Social Studies section! Check out Front Row (https://www.frontrowed.com/ )! Students have easy access to this site via APS MyBackpack so let me know if you need assistance with this resource.
REMINDER!!! The deadline for the APS CyberSecurity Poster contest is NEXT FRIDAY! Students in Grades K-12 are invited to participate for a chance to have their artwork displayed on the APS website and advanced to the National Cybersecurity Awareness Poster Contest! Please see the link for contest requirements or speak with your media specialist for more details. http://tinyAPS.com/?CyberSecurityContest
Don’t forget!! Just a reminder that the deadline for the John Lewis App Challenge is on Tuesday, October 31st!
http://www.congressionalappchallenge.us/2017-student-signup/ We are very excited about the possibility of one of our very own APS students winning this challenge! We want a TON of APS students to participate!
As we continue to guide our students down the road of success, please click on the request support link located within my signature line if you would like support with integrating technology tools (i.e. Interactive Board, iPad, Chromebook, Web 2.0 Resources) within your lessons or feel free to reply to my email. I look forward to the endless possibilities that the collaboration and integration of technology will provide us with reaching all of our learners.
